Comeback queen Britney Spears has had to battle to regain her former glory, putting herself through punishing dance workouts and hours of rehearsals. But yesterday, dressed to the nines in a Fifties style white bikini, huge black hat, black sunglasses, jeweled necklaces and red platform heels, the mother of two looked white hot as she filmed an ad for a magazine at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Los Angeles.


Britney showed off her trim physique as she lounged by the pool in an outfit which oozes old Hollywood glamour and recreated an iconic pin-up look. Spears looked elegant and relaxed, which is a relief considering the turbulent times she’s had. She was accompanied by manager Larry Rudolph and her mother Lynne on set.

It’s been an astonishing comeback for the 27-year-old, who is currently undertaking a tour to publicize album “Circus.” Spears received seven nominations at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.


Meanwhile, the star has just announced that she won’t be performing at this weekend’s Teen Choice Awards, as had previously been stated. A statement released by her management read: ”We are deeply sorry for any confusion and disappointment and appreciate the ongoing dedication of Britney’s wonderful fans.” Spears is set to receive the “Ultimate Choice” honorary award to celebrate her showbiz career at Sunday’s bash which is hosted by The Jonas Brothers.
